Affiliate Marketing & How to Choose a Profitable Niche!

Picking the proper niche for your affiliate marketing program can be a difficult endeavor. My hope, through this post is to make the process of finding a profitable niche easier and more fun for you to achieve.  Choosing the right niche can be a make or break decision for many.

1. Think of your interests. What do you enjoy? What are your interests? When you are looking for your affiliate marketing program or niche to target, it will be far easier to market it because it is something that you are passionate about and this will also resonate with your customers.

2. Research your niche. Once you have a list of potential affiliate marketing programs or niches, it is now time to do the most important step. Research! Is there a need for this affiliate marketing program or niche? By using keyword tools you can research long tail keywords that pertain to your niche or market. The keyword tool will help you to determine the competitiveness of each long tail keyword. If there is high search volume, then do a Google search for the keyword  in parenthesis. If there is low competition and high search volume, then  you have a viable market that you can make money in.

3. As mentioned above, make sure that there is a need for your new niche or affiliate marketing program.  You want to make sure that the niche you are targeting has a problem that needs solving. Once you figure out what this need or problem is, you can then try to find a program that sells a specific product that can meet the need or solve the problem of your target market.

3 Steps to Drive Quality Traffic Using Article Market

One of the most efficient ways to drive qualified prospects to your website is through article marketing. The nice thing is that it is free and it’s very easy to do.

1. Before you submit your article to an article directory, fill out the resource box with your name and website. I like to install anchor text that will direct you to my site, as well as at the very bottom of the resource box I put my website link. This link is not anchor text, because I want people to see my website name.

This also gives you chance to show that you are an expert in your field. The best way to do this is to put in the third person, so you don’t sound like you are bragging. Make it sound like someone is introducing you to someone at a board meeting.

2. Give good quality content. Do not do any selling in your article. That is the purpose of the resource box, leave all salesmanship there. If you make your articles informative and interesting, people will want to click on your resource box to get more information.

3. If you really don’t like to write your own articles or you don’t have time to write, you can freelance to someone else to do your article writing. Just Google freelance writers and you will find many writers who would be more than happy to write for you. The nice thing is it really does not cost much at all to have articles written for you, expect to pay around $5.00 for a 300-500 word article.

Marketing tactics that target customers do often change over time. A tactic that worked well a couple of years ago may not necessarily work well in today’s market. So we are all faced with the same challenge of finding the right marketing tactics that will allow us to generate great results. The marketing tactics that I have found to work best is:

Email marketing- There are many reasons that make email marketing is so appealing:

• Email marketing is one of the cheapest forms of advertising.
• Almost everyone has an email address.

These two reasons together make the potential of email marketing an absolutely incredible marketing tactic. Not only can you communicate with anyone in the world with just a push of the button, but if your opt-in list was 3,000 people or 300,000 people you can communicate with them with just one push of the button. It is extremely efficient.

With email marketing you get feedback quickly; you can have orders coming in almost immediately. It is easy to track and measure the success of an email marketing campaign. There’s an old advertising saying that goes “I know I wasted half my advertising budget, I just don’t know which half”. In email marketing you know how effective your ad campaign is compared to the number of responses and you can adjust your ad campaign accordingly.
